Cheap Discover Airlines Flights: Book Low Fares

Discover Airlines is the leisure airline of the Lufthansa Group and started flying in 2021. Its bases are Frankfurt and Munich. Within the group, alongside Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian and Eurowings, it focuses on holiday routes: on short and medium haul to sun destinations such as Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy and Egypt, and on long haul to North America, the Caribbean and Africa.

The most popular routes are holiday flights from Frankfurt and Munich to Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Andalusia and Portugal, and return flights from Spain and Portugal to Frankfurt and Munich are in strong demand as well. Because Discover flights can be combined with the Lufthansa network on one ticket, you can also fly into Frankfurt or Munich with Lufthansa and continue to your holiday destination the same day. On long-haul flights, Premium Economy and Business Class are offered in addition to economy.

For the cheapest Discover Airlines ticket, book early for summer, Easter and the German school holidays; in spring and autumn, especially midweek, fares are usually lower. If hand luggage is enough, choose the most basic fare, price the outbound and return flights separately and compare departures from Frankfurt and Munich together. A Miles & More membership also earns miles on Discover flights. The prices on this page are the current lowest Discover Airlines fares found by our searches.

Discover Airlines' baggage allowance depends on the fare you choose: the lowest fare includes hand luggage only, while higher fares include checked baggage; Business Class on long haul allows more. The exact weight and piece limits are shown while you book and on your ticket.

• Extra baggage: adding it online in advance is cheaper than the airport rate.
• Golf and surf equipment, bicycles and pushchairs: these typical holiday items follow special rules, so check the Discover Airlines website before you fly.

Online and mobile check-in open before departure on the Discover Airlines website and app, and the boarding pass can be saved on your phone. In Frankfurt and Munich, Discover flights use Lufthansa Group facilities; check your ticket for the terminal and check-in area. Airports are very busy in summer and at the start of school holidays, so arrive early. Closing times vary by route and are listed in your flight details.

Discover Airlines flies Airbus A320 family aircraft on short and medium-haul holiday routes and Airbus A330 widebodies on long haul. On short routes, catering depends on the fare; on long haul, meals and in-flight entertainment are provided. The aircraft type for your flight is shown during booking.
