Nouvelair was founded in 1989 and is Tunisia's largest private airline, headquartered in Monastir. Its home base is Monastir Habib Bourguiba Airport, and it also operates from Tunis-Carthage, Djerba and Enfidha. What began as a charter carrier is today one of the main providers of scheduled low-fare flights between Europe and Tunisia, serving France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and the UK.
