Antalya Airport: Cheap Flights, Transport and Terminals

Antalya Airport sits about 13 kilometres from the centre of Antalya on the Mediterranean coast, right on the D400 highway, and is Turkey's busiest holiday airport. Millions of passengers pass through every year on their way to hotels in Belek, Side, Alanya, Kemer and Lara; the operator is Fraport TAV Antalya, a joint venture of Fraport and TAV. International flights use Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, while domestic flights have their own terminal.

The airport is a base for SunExpress, Pegasus and Corendon Airlines; AJet and Turkish Airlines serve domestic and selected international routes, and holiday carriers such as Freebird and Southwind join the summer schedule. From Germany there are non-stop flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hanover, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg and Nuremberg, and in summer from dozens of further German airports, with European leisure airlines such as Condor, Eurowings, Discover and TUI fly adding capacity in season. Links to the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Russia are busy as well.

The cheapest flights to Antalya Airport usually show up between November and March and on midweek dates; July, August and school holidays call for early booking. The cheapest way into town is the AntRay tram: from the airport stop it runs to the city centre and the bus station. The municipal bus line 600 also links the terminals with the centre and the bus station, and Havaş shuttles run to the centre at set times. • Taxi: ranks are in front of every terminal; the ride to the centre takes around half an hour depending on traffic.
• Transfers and car hire: pre-booked transfers are the easiest way to reach hotels in Belek, Side, Kemer and Alanya; car-hire desks are in the arrivals areas.
• Car: the D400 highway connects the airport with central Antalya and the resorts to the east.

The international terminals offer duty-free shops, restaurants, cafés, currency exchange, ATMs, a pharmacy and children's play areas; free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Lounges such as Primeclass can be entered for a fee or with airline status. In the summer season the terminals operate around the clock and night flights are frequent.

Open-air and covered car parks lie in front of the terminals, with separate areas for short stays, pick-ups and long-term parking. Spaces can be booked online in advance; as rates change, check current prices on the airport website.
